Design Seven Named Finalist at the 2025 Bristol Property Awards
It’s an honour to be named a finalist in another local awards programme, this time at the 2025 Bristol Property Awards, following just weeks after our shortlisting in Bath. To be recognised twice in such a short space of time, and in two cities that mean so much to us, is a moment of real pride for our studio.
We’re delighted to be finalists in two categories: Interior Designer and One to Watch. Both acknowledgements speak to the same story, a year of growth, collaboration and creative momentum.
Bristol has played a defining role in our journey. It’s where many of our projects begin and where our approach as a studio has taken shape. The city’s balance of heritage and innovation, its confidence and creativity, have all influenced how we design and how we think. To be recognised here feels personal.
The Interior Designer category celebrates studios that bring spaces to life with clarity and purpose. For us, it reflects a way of working that blends imagination with intent. We create interiors that are not only beautiful, but liveable, designed for light, flow and feeling. Every project begins with how a space should make someone feel, and every detail is chosen to serve that purpose.
The One to Watch nomination speaks to momentum. It recognises how far we’ve come in our first full year as Design Seven and the partnerships that have shaped our path. Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do, and we’re proud to work with developers such as YTL Developments at Brabazon, one of Bristol’s most forward-thinking neighbourhoods. Projects like this capture what we love most about design: the chance to create homes that balance expression with everyday practicality, energy with calm.
There’s a certain confidence to Bristol, an openness to new ideas, a blend of culture and craftsmanship, and it’s that spirit we connect with as designers. To be recognised among the talented people shaping the city’s built environment is both humbling and inspiring.
Behind the scenes, this recognition also reflects the refinements we’ve made to how we work. Over the past year, we’ve strengthened our specifications, refined our documentation and deepened our relationships with local makers and suppliers. These quiet improvements allow us to deliver schemes that are consistent, distinctive and built to last, homes that feel good to live in and perform well for our clients.
As a small studio, our strength lies in staying close to every design. Every client benefits from the full attention of the people who created their scheme, and that personal connection shows in the results. It’s this closeness, between designer, client and craft, that gives our work its integrity.
Thank you to the Bristol Property Awards team for this recognition, to our clients for your continued trust, and to our partners and installers for your care and commitment on every project.
On 28 November 2025, we’ll join the Bristol property community at Ashton Gate Stadium to celebrate the finalists and the work shaping our city. Whatever the outcome, this moment already means a great deal. It’s a reminder that great design doesn’t come from scale, but from connection, and that’s something we’ll continue to build on in the year ahead.
